PRODUCT

Titanium-zirconium-molybdenum alloy rod is an alloy rod composed of 0.50% titanium, 0.08% zirconium and 0.02% carbon with the balance molybdenum. TZM alloy has a higher recrystallization temperature, higher strength, hardness and good ductility at room temperature and high temperature than non-alloyed molybdenum.

 

 

Adding other elements to TZM alloys can change their properties, such as:

- Adding rare earth elements:

Not only can it increase the recrystallization temperature and high-temperature creep resistance of molybdenum, but also significantly reduce the plastic-brittle transition temperature of molybdenum, increase ductility, and improve the room-temperature brittleness and high-temperature sag resistance of molybdenum.

- Adding TiC/ZrC:

can significantly improve the high-temperature strength of TZM alloy. The added trace carbide particles promote the formation of dimples during the high-temperature stretching process of the alloy, causing the high-temperature stretching of the alloy to cause transgranular cleavage and dimple fracture. The mixed fracture mode changes to dimple fracture.
