Platinum Plated Niobium Wire

Platinum-plated niobium wire is a gray-white metal wire that wraps platinum on niobium wire.With a melting temperature of 2468°C, a boiling point of 4742°C, and a density of 8.57 g/cubic centimeter, niobium is a gray-white metal. When niobium is red-hot in oxygen, it does not entirely oxidize and remains stable in the air at normal temperature. At high temperatures, it reacts directly with sulfur, nitrogen, and carbon to generate alloys that include tungsten, zirconium, titanium, and hafnium. It is soluble in hydrofluoric acid but insoluble in aqua regia.
