Products Description
In medical CT equipment, collimators come in two varieties:
1. The front collimator, also known as the X-ray tube side collimator, is mounted in front of the CT tube. It is the first element that X-ray can see. Conical X-rays are released from the tube and travel through the belt. A sheet-shaped beam can be produced using a tungsten device with slits. Its primary duty is to choose the X-ray layer thickness and regulate the thickness of the scanning layer by adjusting the X-ray beam's breadth in a direction perpendicular to the long axis of the human body;
2. The detector side collimator, also known as the rear collimator, aligns its slits with each detector such that the detectors only catch light that is incident vertically on the detector, reducing interference from dispersed light from other directions.
The thickness, flatness, and surface roughness of the molybdenum blades of the collimator itself are particularly demanding since the slit that the collimator creates is made up of a huge number of uniformly distributed blades. In accordance with various customer needs, the collimator blades' material can be one of three options: tungsten, tungsten alloy, or molybdenum.
The Collimator molybdenum blades for CT machines have tight cleaning requirements, thus we take great care to adhere to this during production.

Product Advantages
CT machines use collimator molybdenum blades to limit the direction and size of the X-ray beam to ensure clear images. Molybdenum is a commonly used material used to make the blades of collimators of CT machines due to its higher density and better radiation resistance.
A collimator is a device located between the X-ray tube and the patient and consists of a series of movable blades. The arrangement and position of these blades can be adjusted to control the shape and size of the X-ray beam. By adjusting the position of the blades, doctors can limit the spread of X-rays, concentrate the radiation dose on the area of interest, reduce radiation damage to surrounding tissue, and obtain clearer images.
Because of its high density, molybdenum blades can effectively absorb X-rays, reduce excess scattered radiation and dose, and help improve image contrast and quality. Molybdenum's radiation resistance also enables the collimator to maintain stable performance over long periods of use.
All in all, the purpose of using Collimator molybdenum blades for CT machines is to control the direction and size of the X-ray beam to obtain clear images and reduce the impact of radiation dose on patients and operators.
