nickel alloy seamless pipe

Nickel alloy seamless pipe is a pipe without welds. Therefore, its sealing performance and high pressure resistance are better than those of nickel alloy welded pipes. Nickel alloys have excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. Therefore, if your project requires working in special or extreme environments, our nickel alloy seamless pipes are your best choice.

process

Raw Material Selection
The process begins with the selection of high-quality nickel alloy grades, which are typically characterized by high corrosion and heat resistance. The alloy composition is checked for purity and the blank (a solid cylindrical block of nickel alloy) is prepared for further processing.

Pipe Forming Technology
Extrusion and pilger forming are the two main technologies for pipe forming. During the extrusion process, the blank is heated and forced through the die to form a hollow shape. Pilger rolling, on the other hand, involves rolling the pipe repeatedly through a series of dies and mandrels to achieve the desired size and wall thickness.

Heat Treatment
The formed seamless nickel alloy tube is heat treated to enhance its mechanical properties and refine the grain structure. The process typically involves solution annealing, quenching and precipitation hardening at controlled temperatures.

Finishing And Testing
The pipes then undergo finishing processes such as cutting, beveling and cleaning. Upon completion, rigorous non-destructive testing will be conducted to ensure the integrity of the pipeline. Testing may include:

Ultrasonic testing: detecting internal defects.
Hydrostatic test: Verify that the pipe can withstand pressure.
Eddy current testing: Identifying surface defects.

Final inspection ensures the pipe meets accurate dimensional and material specifications before shipment.

packing

1. Packaging materials: Use moisture-proof paper, plastic film, foam plastic and other packaging materials to prevent the pipe from getting damp or suffering slight collisions. In addition, wooden outer packaging boxes or wooden pallets can also be used as packaging auxiliary materials.

2. Outer packaging: Nickel-based alloy seamless pipes can be placed in wooden outer packaging boxes or wooden pallets of appropriate size to prevent extrusion or collision during transportation.

3. Anti-corrosion treatment: If necessary, anti-corrosion treatment or protective agent can be applied to the outer surface of the pipe to prevent corrosion in humid environments.

4. Labeling: Mark the product name, specifications, batch number, and manufacturer information on the package to facilitate identification and tracking.

5. Transportation method: Choose the appropriate transportation method, such as sea transportation, land transportation or air transportation, and ensure suitable handling equipment to avoid pipe damage during transportation.

FAQ
do you have any question?

nickel alloy seamless pipe

What is the standard length? Can we cut the tube into small length?

For most overseas orders, the standard length is 5.8m or 6m. We can also make it in 12 m or 13 m lengths according to your requirements.
We can cut the length to the required length but this will incur additional cost. Please specify desired cutting method when ordering. We offer laser cutting, plasma cutting and water jet cutting for you to choose from.

Can nickel alloy seamless pipes be polished?

Yes, nickel alloy seamless pipes can have a polished surface just like a simple rough polish. We can also perform enhanced polishes such as 240 and 320 grit depending on your needs.

Do you have matching nickel alloy pipe fittings?

Yes, we have nickel alloy elbows, flanges, reducers, etc. See our products for more details.

What will you use for packaging?

By default, we will use thick woven plastic bags for packaging. We can also customize packaging such as wooden boxes according to your needs. You can also refer to our photos for better understanding.
