Tungsten molybdenum is a metal material composed of two elements: tungsten and molybdenum. It has the characteristics of high melting point, high hardness, high strength, corrosion resistance and heat resistance. The melting point of tungsten and molybdenum is 3422°C, which is the highest melting point among all metals. Tungsten and molybdenum also have very high hardness and strength and are the main raw materials for manufacturing high-speed steel, alloy steel and corrosion-resistant alloys. In addition, tungsten and molybdenum also have excellent thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and oxidation resistance, and are also widely used in fields such as electrodes and leads.

Hot melt drill, also called flowdrill, has changed the traditional labor processing process and solved the problems in the previous processing process - the tapping bracket of thin plates and tubes can be easily solved with just a few pieces. Technology replaces bolts, welding bolts, and riveting bolts.

Products working principle
Hot melt drill is a tool made of special wear-resistant and high-temperature resistant tungsten carbide carbide (so it is also called tungsten carbide hot melt drill or carbide hot melt drill).
When the high-speed rotating drill bit contacts the surface of the workpiece and exerts downward axial pressure, the hot-melt drill head rubs against the metal and generates a high temperature of 650°C to 750°C, which rapidly softens the metal in the area near the hot-melt drill bit. While the hot melt drill squeezes and penetrates, it stretches the softened metal part into a metal front (convex) that is three to four times the original thickness. The whole process only takes 2-6 seconds. This boss can be used for extrusion. Tapping and thread forming enhance the connection effect. It can also be used as a bearing support seat, bifurcated throat connection, etc.

The hot melt drill first contacts the material, positions it, and then presses against the material with high axial force and speed.
The applied pressure and speed generate the required frictional heat of approximately 600°C to plasticize and shape the material. Fdrill hot melt drill bits penetrate materials in seconds.
The hot melt drill bit squeezes the metal horizontally and vertically, which moves the material downward, creating a bushing. When the hot melt drill penetrates the metal, the feed pressure gradually decreases and the feed speed gradually increases.
Now, hot melt drilling has formed a bushing. Material in the opposite direction of feed is extruded and forms a circular cone that can be used for sealing. This frustum can be removed in the same operation by using a flat-head drill with a cutting edge at the edge of the drill.
The resulting bushing can be tapped immediately using the extrusion tap without the need for storage. Cold extrusion tapping increases material hardness.
